Wedding legends

When a bridegroom goes to the wedding, they put a stub near his carriage as a footboard and stick a needle into it. The bridegroom should step on the needle. If the needle goes into the stub the family life of a newly married couple will be happy, and if it turns down or breaks then they won’t be happy.

Then the carriage of the bridegroom makes for the house where the wedding is held. But first they go to field as far as embranchment of the road. Here they stop and the bridegroom tosses a coin. If head falls the couple will be happy, if tail – they will be unhappy.

The marriage night, when the bride and the bridegroom go to bed, they compete with each other in embracing the other first. Who embraces the significant other first will be the head of the family.

After the engagement before wedding the fianc? shouldn’t go to the fianc?e’s house. But they both try to find each other in another person’s house. The one that manages to find the other in another person’s house will be the head of the new family. (Ulhasch)
